- This is the Civil Engineering entry in the CERN WWW Virtual Library. This is a moderated and up-to-date link to Civil Engineering sources on the net.
- EINet Galaxy: Civil and Construction Engineering
- Another virtual encyclopedia type setup which allows good searching via keywords. Has a main Engineering & Technology page (similar to the WWW Virtual Library: Engineering page), It has a separate section for Transportation Engineering & Technology and Civil and Construction Engineering (Engineering & Technology). EINet Galaxy is a directory service indexing a large number of topics.

Interact Project
- INTERACT is a project funded in Phase 1 of the Teaching and Learning Technology Program ( TLTP ) by the then UFC. (Now split into HEFCE, SHEFC HEFCW DENI) The lead site for the project is Cambridge University Engineering Department and the other consortium members are Heriot Watt University and Strathclyde University.
- The aim of the INTERACT project is to provide students with an understanding and appreciation of the interactions and relationships which occur in engineering phenomena. This is being done by use of interactive computer simulations of engineering systems (utilising the Web and Mosaic). There are several Civil-related projects underway.

Rock Mechanics software
- Software for PC available on the Internet via ftp for rock mechanics, slope stability, tunnels, foundations, mines, etc. There are 4 programs at the following ftp site. There are two FEM software (CANSAFE and VISROCK), one BEM software (BEAP3D) and one discontinuous block model (BSM). You can download the /mets/mrl/readme.txt file for detailed information.
